Surely you wish it to bloom again with new buds to fill your space with its beauty once again. Even if the faded branch should be cut after the flowering period, you should not rush this step! Follow cpykami’s advice because despite the appearance that the branch will no longer produce new shoots, thanks to this stimulation and hydration you will be able to renew its vitality. And for this you need aloe vera. This plant is known for its richness in vitamins and minerals that nourish plants, regenerate them and stimulate their growth and flowering. Here’s how to proceed:

1. Get Aloe Vera:

If you have access to a lot of aloe vera, this is the most effective way to use it. Take a few leaves of the aloe.

Cut them lengthwise in the middle.

Wrap each orchid branch in one half of the leaf.

Clean the branch carefully with the gel from the leaf.

Repeat this process up to twice a week or at least once.

2. Alternatively:

If you don’t have a lot of aloe vera available, just cut off a leaf and chop it up.

Then stick a piece of aloe on the orchid branch. Leave it where the dormant buds are.

Leave the aloe on the branch for about 1-2 weeks until it dries out on the plant, then remove it and replace it with a new piece.

Repeat this process until the buds awaken.

The aloe vera gel will continuously nourish the buds and give them everything they need for the growth and development of new flowering branches. How does this process work? The dry flower branch is filled with vitality and micronutrients, and most importantly, the sleeping buds gradually awaken. From them, the branch can branch out and produce new buds. We wish you and your orchid every success!

The orchid you love so much may look a little sad after losing its flowers.
