Over the years, it can lose its shine and take on an old-fashioned appearance. In addition, sweat halos can appear on our shirts, our T-shirts and our tank tops and give way to yellow stains. To clean and whiten clothes, some use bleach. But unfortunately this product does not always do the job when the latter are embedded. To remove stains from clothes and restore your white clothes to their original shine, here are our natural solutions.

Removing an oil, grease, rust, sauce, or blood stain from a garment can be very tricky. And for good reason – these stubborn stains can become embedded in a fabric and resist any attempts at eradication. Some people use store-bought detergent for machine washing, while others prefer natural tricks that are chemical-free. To remove stubborn yellowish stains that appear on white clothes, here are our tips.

Damaged T-shirt – Source: spm

Natural tips to remove yellow stains from white clothes

To naturally whiten a white t-shirt, sheets, towel or shirt, some natural tricks are very effective.

1. Marseille soap

Great against stains, Marseille soap can remove the most difficult stains. To use it, simply moisten the stain on your garment with Marseille soap and cold water. Rub gently to loosen the stained area and leave for one to two hours. Then, put your garment in the washing machine to restore its former whiteness. Prefer powder detergent for its whitening properties. Also, dry your garment in the open air to preserve the textile fibers.

2. White vinegar

White vinegar is a great product for maintaining white clothing. To stain clothes, start by diluting four tablespoons of white vinegar in water before soaking the stained item. Let it soak for 1 hour and then rub the stain with a microfiber cloth. Then, put your item in the washing machine for a flawless result.

Transpiration marks – Source: spm

3. Baking soda

Baking soda is a real stain protector and helps to whiten clothes naturally. To remove yellow stains, you need to make a paste with this famous white powder. Mix a few tablespoons of baking soda with water until a paste forms. Then, apply the paste to the stains and let it sit for 30 minutes before moving on to the regular wash. For stubborn stains, mix baking soda with lemon juice and rub with a cloth soaked in this solution. Let it sit for 2 hours and then machine wash your clothes.

Lemon has stain-removing properties – Source: spm

4. Hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is an excellent alternative for cleaning white clothes. Also called hydrogen peroxide, this product has bleaching properties known to everyone and can remove yellow marks. To do this, remember to soak the stain with hydrogen peroxide and then let it sit for 1 hour. Then rub the stains and put the clothes in the washing machine. Let it air dry.

5. Soda crystals

Soda crystals can be used for cleaning purposes. For this, you just need to dilute a cup of soda crystals in a liter of water. Soak your clothes in this solution and rub the stains with a sponge to remove them. Remember to wear gloves during this maneuver to protect your skin. Finally, put your clothes in the washing machine and dry them in the sun.

White linen is often difficult to care for.
