So it’s good to maintain our garden in the most natural way possible.

For the health of the body and the wallet, it is therefore good to prepare natural fertilizers for the garden.

Plants only need 3 main nutrients to thrive, namely nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Nitrogen is essential for the growth of leaves and green stems. Phosphorus is good for flowers and fruits and potassium, for its part, for the health of the plant. But plants also have micronutrients as well. Like magnesium, calcium and sulfur.

Now that you know all this, here are the 7 best natural fertilizers for the garden that you can prepare yourself.

Coffee Grounds
Coffee grounds are a natural fertilizer that adds nitrogen to poor soil and increases soil acidity. They are especially effective for roses, hydrangeas, magnolias, and rhododendrons. Simply add up to 25% of coffee grounds to the soil, at the base of the plants. This will also improve the organic matter in the soil.

Epsom Salt

Epsom salt provides magnesium and sulfur to the soil. It is especially good for tomatoes and roses.

To reduce transplant shock.

Epsom salt water is very effective. It is also ideal for seedlings.

This salt gives plants a dark green color, especially in soils that are low in magnesium.

Here is a quick and easy recipe:

Pour 1 tablespoon (15 g) of Epsom salt into 4 liters of water and use this mixture for indoor and outdoor plants.

You can also mix the salt into the soil around the plants. Use 1 tablespoon (15 g) for each 60 cm high plant and water.

Cooking water

You should no longer throw away the cooking water from vegetables! It is rich in nutrients and mineral salts necessary for plant growth.

Simply let the cooking water cool and water the vegetable garden with it. Easy and environmentally friendly!

An infusion of cut grass

Using cut grass is an excellent way to obtain a fertilizer with a high nitrogen content. This is a very simple recipe, which allows you to recycle lawn scraps. Simply fill a bucket with 25 liters of freshly cut grass and cover it with water. Let it sit for 3 to 5 days. Then, dilute this herbal infusion at a rate of one measure of infusion for 9 of water and simply water the plants.

Banana peels

Banana peels contain a lot of potassium, phosphorus and calcium. They are perfect for flowering and reproduction of plants.

All you have to do is bury a peel in the ground, at the base of the plant and let it decompose. Instead of throwing away overripe bananas, you can also freeze them and bury them next to a plant in distress as soon as a need arises.

You can also use a sprayer. To do this, let a banana peel infuse in water for 2 to 3 days. Then, use the water to spray the plants and seedlings.

Eggshells

Eggshells are very rich in calcium, a key element for healthy plant growth. Tomato flowers that rot on tomato plants probably mean calcium-deficient soil.

To remedy this, crush eggshells and bury them under the surface of the soil.

For greater effectiveness, you can also use a vaporizer by mixing 20 eggshells with 4 liters of water. Boil the shells in water for a few minutes and let it infuse in the water overnight. Then simply pour the liquid into a bottle and spray it directly onto the soil.

An infusion of organic compost

Using the same principle as the infusion of cut grass, you can prepare an infusion with organic compost.

To do this, put a little organic compost in a bucket and cover it with water. Let it macerate for 2 or 3 days, then filter. You will get a much richer liquid, containing a variety of nutrients. It is perfect for any plant.

Dilute before use so that it has an amber color, not darker.

You can spray this mixture or water the plants during the growing season only.

No one wants to eat vegetables full of chemicals.
