The flies will enter attracted by the sweet scent, but they will no longer be able to get out.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Placement<\/strong> Place the trap in an area where you have noticed the presence of flies: near a trash can, in the kitchen, or outside near ripe fruit or composter. However, avoid placing it too close to where you eat or cook.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Other tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For greater effectiveness, replace the mixture every 4-5 days or when it begins to lose its attractiveness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you want to enhance the attractiveness, you can add a small piece of ripe fruit or a tablespoon of honey to the mixture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure the trap is stable to prevent it from tipping over.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Creating a fly trap with a plastic bottle is a simple, cost-effective, and sustainable method to combat these pesky insects.
