{"id":3228,"date":"2023-07-18T23:45:53","date_gmt":"2023-07-18T20:45:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.light-recipes.top\/?p=3228"},"modified":"2023-07-18T23:45:54","modified_gmt":"2023-07-18T20:45:54","slug":"sugar-donuts-soft-and-delicious","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.light-recipes.top\/?p=3228","title":{"rendered":"Sugar Donuts: Soft and Delicious!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sugar donuts are small fried cakes coated in powdered sugar, ideal for breakfast or a snack.&nbsp;They are easy to prepare and provide instant sweet satisfaction with every bite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>150 ml (2\/3 cup) lukewarm milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 g (1 teaspoon) dry yeast<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>750 g (6 cups) all-purpose flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 eggs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>120 g (1\/2 cup) sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>300g boiled potatoes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>80g (5 tbsp) melted butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 g (1 tsp) lemon zest<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vegetable oil (for frying)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sugar (for coating)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Preparation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In a bowl mix the milk with the dry yeast, set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In another bowl, combine the flour, boiled potatoes and sugar, mix well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add eggs, yeast mixture and stir to combine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the lemon zest and the melted butter and continue to knead the dough with your hands until you obtain an elastic dough.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Form a ball with the dough, cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 3 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer the dough to a work surface and roll with a pin.&nbsp;Use a bowl to cut out circles 8-9cm in diameter and a smaller bowl or glass to cut out the donut hole.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place each donut on a sheet of baking paper and leave to rest for 1 hour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fry donuts in hot oil for 2-3 minutes on each side.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coat with sugar and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sugar donuts are small fried cakes coated in powdered sugar, ideal for breakfast or a snack.&nbsp;They are easy to prepare and provide instant sweet satisfaction with every bite.
