Sansevieria trifasciata

They are among the hardiest houseplants in the world, and adapt well to any climate or light situation. Very used to decorate homes and offices, they have an attractive and modern look that adapts well to any style.

Sansevieria tolerates torrid climates, but they must always be protected from direct sunlight. It should be watered every 2-6 weeks, depending on the temperature, light and humidity of the context.

2. Aeonium tabuliforme

Aeoniums are very attractive succulent plants due to their rosette-shaped leaves. They have compact, almost flat foliage and whorl-shaped leaves.

They can grow well both indoors and outdoors, but they must be protected from frost and not exposed to direct sunlight. Water little, without creating stagnant water.

3. Aeonium “kiwi”

Colorful succulents are among the most popular. Aeonium ‘kiwi’ has green leaves with a touch of bright color on the edges. This plant is a slightly more delicate hybrid than other plants belonging to the same genus.

The Aeonium “kiwi” is rosette-shaped, with leaves capable of conserving a lot of water and with slow growth.

4. Gasteria gracilis

This genus of succulent plants, similar in shape to aloe, is native to South Africa, where it grows in semi-shaded conditions and on well-drained soils. The plant tolerates lower light conditions than other succulents, and for this reason it is perfect for indoor environments.

The Gasteria needs little water and should be fertilized once a year. Remember to never expose it to direct sunlight.

5. Crassula ovata “Gollum”

This plant belongs to the Jade tree family and adapts very well to shade. Gollum is found very easily and can be reproduced just as easily starting from small cuttings.

It needs light, but prefers shade in particularly hot climates. It can be grown indoors, but should be placed near a well-lit window. Make sure it has good drainage and water sporadically.

6. Haworthia

They have pointed leaves filled with white specks. It needs very little care and is one of the easiest succulents to grow.

Make sure the plant has good drainage and water only when the soil is completely dry and its leaves begin to curl (every 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the climate). In winter they need much less water.

7. Crassula ovata (Jade tree)

It is one of the most widespread and appreciated succulent plants, both at home and in offices, because it is considered a good luck charm. Easy to take care of, just follow some small tricks regarding light, temperature and fertilizer.

Unlike other succulents, the jade tree needs to be watered more frequently. Never wait for the soil to dry out completely, but don’t over-water. Water only when the top of the potting soil is dry to the touch.

The Jade tree needs some sunlight to grow, so it’s a good idea to place it near a window.

Important: This website does not give medical advice, nor does it suggest the use of techniques as a form of treatment for physical problems, for which medical advice is required. In case you decide to apply the information contained in this site, the same does not assume responsibility. The intention of the site is to be illustrative, not exhortative or didactic.

There are some succulents that prefer shade more than sun , and are perfect for indoor environments. Succulent plants are available in many different colors and shapes, and are ideal for decorating and giving a touch of vitality and color to our homes.
