Mealybugs are among the most common, but also the most harmful insects. They can invade our plants and weaken them, even leading them to rot. If you’ve noticed mealybugs on your plants<\/strong> , you’ll be pleased to know that it’s possible to get rid of them with all-natural pesticides<\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By inserting their beak into the plants, the scale insects suck the sap leading them to weaken or die, depending on the species of the plant and the quantity of scale insects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As if that weren’t enough, the scale insects secrete a kind of molasses which, in turn, favors the appearance of a black mold which dries up the leaves and makes them fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 natural pesticides against scale insects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Tobacco<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is an excellent natural insecticide, and can eliminate mealybugs forever. Mix a liter of water with the contents of 6 cigarettes and let it rest for 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, drain the solution and spray on the plants. Alternatively, you can also wipe a cotton ball dipped in the solution directly on the leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sodium bicarbonate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with a liter of water and two tablespoons of grated Marseille soap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour everything into a spray bottle and spray directly on the plants every 7 days for at least 4 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Garlic alcohol<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blend 6 cloves of garlic with half a liter of alcohol and half a liter of water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strain the mixture to obtain a very liquid solution, then spray on the plants and on the soil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Garlic and laundry detergent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grind 150 grams of garlic and mix them with 1 liter of water. Add 2 tablespoons of liquid laundry detergent and continue mixing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour into a spray bottle and apply directly to plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Express” repellent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mix a quart of warm water with 1\/2 teaspoon of liquid dish soap and 1 tablespoon of rubbing alcohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spray on plants affected by mealybugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
