By inserting their beak into plants, scale insects suck the sap, causing them to weaken or die, depending on the species of plant and the quantity of scale insects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As if that wasn’t enough, scale insects secrete a kind of molasses which, in turn, favors the appearance of black mold which causes the leaves to dry out and fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 natural pesticides against scale insects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Tobacco<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is an excellent natural insecticide, and can eliminate mealybugs forever. Mix one liter of water with the contents of 6 cigarettes and let it rest for 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, drain the solution and spray on the plants. Alternatively, you can also pass a cotton ball soaked in the solution directly over the leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sodium bicarbonate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with one liter of water and two tablespoons of grated Marseille soap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour everything into a spray bottle and spray directly on the plants every 7 days for at least 4 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Garlic alcohol<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blend 6 cloves of garlic with half a liter of alcohol and half a liter of water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filter the mixture to obtain a well-liquid solution, then spray on the plants and soil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Garlic and laundry detergent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grind 150 grams of garlic and mix it with 1 liter of water. Add 2 tablespoons of liquid laundry detergent and continue mixing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour into a spray bottle and apply directly to the plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cExpress\u201d repellent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mix a quart of warm water with \u00bd teaspoon of liquid dish soap and 1 tablespoon of alcohol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spray on plants affected by mealybug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
