It’s crazy how expensive they can be. Additionally, dishwasher tablets are generally not recommended for the environment. So here I offer you a simple and very economical version, which will do the job!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Materials<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Washing soda (removes grease stains) \u2013 1 cup<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Borax (cleaning agent) \u2013 1 cup<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Epsom Salt (removes hard water stains) \u2013 \u00bc cup<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • White vinegar (air freshener) \u2013 \u00bc cup<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Lemongrass essential oil (antibacterial, pleasant scent) \u2013 8 to 10 drops<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Food coloring \u2013 3 or 4 drops (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Instruction<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    1. Mix the three dry ingredients<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Put 1 cup of club soda in a mixing bowl.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Add 1 cup of borax and \u00bc cup of Epsom salt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Add vinegar, essential oil and food coloring<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Add \u00bc cup of white vinegar to the dry ingredients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Add 8 to 10 drops of lemongrass essential oil.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Optionally, you can also add 3 or 4 drops of food coloring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    8. Mix and transfer the paste to an ice cube tray.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    9. Mix the ingredients thoroughly to obtain a uniform mixture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    10. Fill an ice cube tray with the mixture. Press the mixture with your fingers to pack it firmly into each slot in the tray.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    11. Let it sit for at least 24 hours in a dry, sunny space.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    12. Store the cubes in an airtight container and use 1 per load<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    13. Carefully remove the cubes from the tray.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    14. Store the dishwasher safe cubes in an airtight jar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
