But how tiring is it to have the  bathroom always clean and free of bad odors<\/strong>  ? Really really a lot! This environment, in fact, by its very nature, tends to  get dirty easily<\/strong>  and present various problems, such as  mold, humidity, etc.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To always keep it clean, we use  the most varied detergents available on the market,<\/strong>  ignoring however that these can pollute the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this reason, today we are going to see together how to solve these problems in the bathroom and  always have it clean<\/strong>  , using only  a glass of coarse salt!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stink in toilet drain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It often happens that you walk into the bathroom and are immediately hit by  a bad smell coming from the toilet drain. <\/strong> The first thing we do in these cases is throw various scented detergents inside in order to counter the smell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fortunately, however,  salt can come to your rescue. <\/strong> How? Let’s see it together! Fill  a glass with coarse salt,<\/strong>  then pour it  into the sink<\/strong>  and leave to act overnight. The next day, simply pour  a bucket of boiling water,<\/strong>  being very careful not to burn yourself, and  that’s it: goodbye to bad smells!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, salt has an  absorbent function, capable of neutralizing bad odors  <\/strong>in the drain!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yellow stains in the toilet bowl<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Another problem that we frequently encounter in the bathroom is the formation of some   yellow stains in the toilet<\/strong>  , due to   lime deposits<\/strong>   that tend to turn yellow by absorbing the   color of uric acid. <\/strong> But even in this case, salt can come to your rescue thanks to its  strong cleaning and abrasive action<\/strong>  .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then add a little water slowly to  1 glass containing coarse salt<\/strong>  , in order to obtain a more compact mixture that you can spread over the yellow stain using the brush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then leave it on overnight, then rub  with the toilet brush<\/strong>  to permanently remove the stain: the  yellow stains will be nothing more than a bad memory! <\/strong> To make this remedy more effective and get rid of yellow spots, you can also add   baking soda<\/strong>  to the mixture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For sanitary and shower<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Salt is also very effective for  cleaning yellowed sanitary ware and showers,<\/strong>  as it has a   strong whitening and abrasive action<\/strong>   capable of removing the most stubborn stains. Unsurprisingly, in fact, it can also be used  to whiten clothes and remove yellow stains without using bleach!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this case, we advise you to combine it with baking soda, to create a very effective cleaner. Then mix  1 glass of baking soda<\/strong>   and   1 glass of coarse salt<\/strong>  with water slowly until you obtain a thick mixture. Then rub it on the bathroom fixtures using a sponge and leave to act for a few hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, rinse and you will notice that   your toilets will shine again!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Against humidity and mold<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If there is one room in the house that is very prone to the formation of  humidity and mold,<\/strong>  it is the bathroom. Fortunately, however, salt is known precisely for its absorbent function and, in particular, for its ability to  absorb excess moisture. <\/strong> We remind you, in fact, that it is used to make a   natural do-it-yourself dehumidifier  !<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simply   fill a glass with coarse salt<\/strong>  (or more if the humidity is high) and place it in the corner of the bathroom. You will notice that as the days go by, the salt will become damp as it has absorbed the excess moisture. At that time, change the glass or  let the salt dry and use it again.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Limescale on faucets and tiles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If the surfaces of your bathroom,  such as the tiles or the taps, are encrusted with limescale<\/strong>  , know that you have nothing to fear, salt will solve the problem! Therefore, dilute   2 tablespoons of salt in 200 ml of water<\/strong>  , then transfer everything to a  spray bottle<\/strong>  and spray liberally on the affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leave on for  10 minutes,<\/strong>  then use a sponge and rinse thoroughly. Alternatively, you can also  create a thick paste<\/strong>  by adding a little water, apply it to the sponge on the non-abrasive side and then  gently pass it over all affected areas<\/strong>  . At this point, leave it on for a while and rinse off any residue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to flavor it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Finally, let’s look at one last tip with salt   to make the bathroom smell good!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So all you need to do is mix  2 tablespoons of coarse salt<\/strong>   with  15 drops of your favorite essential oil in a small bowl. <\/strong>  After that, put the mixture thus obtained   in a pot of your choice<\/strong>   and place it in the bathroom:  and what a scent!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
