Marble grit floors<\/strong> have been very popular in Italy in recent decades. They were very common in our grandmothers’ homes, as they represented a cheaper alternative to other types of materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although they have gone out of fashion, marble chips floors are still present in our homes, and retain a great charm<\/strong> , especially when they are original and antique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not to mention that marble grit is also very resistant to impacts and wear. Our grandparents were right to prefer it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only drawback of this type of flooring is that it tends to lose its classic shine<\/strong> . But there is no need to fear: it is possible to thoroughly clean and polish marble chips floors with completely natural ingredients<\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below we suggest two effective remedies for having very shiny marble grit floors<\/strong> , as if they were new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natural detergent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baking soda is abrasive enough to remove dirt without scratching the floor. By mixing it with alcohol and Marseille soap you obtain a perfect detergent for marble grit floors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mix 3 tablespoons of baking soda with 10 tablespoons of alcohol and 1 tablespoon of liquid Castile soap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have obtained a homogeneous mixture, dip a cloth in it and pass it over the entire floor. After about 5 minutes, rinse with a cloth soaked in warm water and well wrung out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Repeat the application several times until you obtain a completely shiny floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use only denatured alcohol<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This remedy is as simple as it is effective. Simply pour 5 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol into a bucket full of warm water, and use the solution to clean the floor as normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
