  • It has a  powerful healing action and <\/strong> is used to treat wounds, hemorrhoids, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    Geraniums are easy to reproduce by cuttings<\/strong>  and that is what we want to show you below, step by step. To endlessly reproduce our geraniums we need the following material:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • a mature geranium<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • small plastic jars<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • seedbed substrate<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • sand<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • knife or scissors<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Rooting hormone (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n

      1. First, we select the healthiest, firmest and thickest stems and  cut them above the second armpit counting from the top. <\/strong> That is, just above where the leaves sprout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2.  Remove leaves and shoots from the bottom half of the cutting<\/strong> . Finally we cut the lower end of the stem just below a node. This is where there is a higher concentration of the plant’s natural rooting hormones.<\/p>\n\n\n

      3. To improve success rate, soak the base of each cutting in a small amount of rooting hormone to stimulate root growth  .<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

      4. We will fill the pots with a  mixture of seedling substrate with sand<\/strong> . This will improve its drainage. In each pot we will put 2-3 cuttings. We water well and place the pots with cuttings in a  well-lit place inside the house. <\/strong> It is best not to cover the cuttings with plastic so as not to encourage the appearance of mold.<\/p>\n\n\n

      5. After a few weeks the wound will heal and  we will begin to see the first roots<\/strong> . At 6-8 weeks, the cutting should already have a good, well-established root system.<\/p>\n\n\n

      6. Now we can  transplant each cutting into a single pot<\/strong>  with an ordinary substrate. We will keep them with a good degree of humidity and then in the following weeks we will be able to  plant the geranium wherever we want.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
