When limescale absorbs dirt, it takes on an annoying dark color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For this reason it is essential to apply the following advice both to&nbsp;<strong>prevent the appearance of limescale<\/strong>&nbsp;and to&nbsp;<strong>eliminate existing limescale<\/strong>&nbsp;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Limestone is composed of calcium carbonate, an alkaline compound, so an acid is needed to dissolve and eliminate it. Vinegar, for example, is a very useful product in this regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vinegar and lemon<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The acids in both ingredients dissolve stains and limescale deposits from the toilet, also eliminating odor-causing microorganisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mix 100ml of vinegar with the juice of one lemon and spray onto the toilet surface. Wait 30 minutes, then flush the toilet and use a damp cloth to clean the outside surfaces of the toilet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bicarbonate and hydrogen peroxide<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The combination of these two ingredients has the particularity of whitening surfaces, and is therefore perfect for darker limestone.
