Ingredients

Preparing a special dessert for Christmas doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, the most delicious comes from simple combinations, without the need to turn on the oven or spend hours in the kitchen. This Christmas dessert of cookies and chocolate is the perfect test: quick, creamy, with a festive touch and a texture that conquers everyone.

Ideal for those moments when you need an elegant sweet in a short time, when unexpected guests arrive or you just want to enjoy something homemade without too much effort. With basic ingredients and a very simple procedure, you will achieve a creamy result on the inside, firm on the outside and with a deeply chocolatey taste.

  • 300 ml milk
  • 100 g sugar
  • 60 g butter
  • 60 g cocoa
  • 400 g biscuits
  • 50 g raisins
  • 180 g chocolate
  • 90 g cream

How to prepare this Christmas dessert without an oven

1. Prepare the chocolate base

Place the milk, sugar, butter and cocoa in a pot. Bring to medium heat and mix constantly until all the ingredients are integrated and you get a smooth and thick cream. This will be the heart of the dessert and the key to its creamy texture.

2. Add the cookies and raisins

Take the cookies and break them with your hands into medium pieces, without pulverizing them. Add them to the hot mixture along with the raisins. Stir until each piece of cookie is coated in the chocolate cream.

3. Shape the dessert

Line a rectangular or round pan with plastic wrap or parchment paper. Pour in the mixture and distribute it evenly by pressing lightly to compact. Refrigerate while you prepare the topping.

4. Prepare the soft topping

Melt the 180 g of chocolate together with the cream in a double boiler or in the microwave in short intervals. Mix until you get a smooth and shiny ganache.

5. Cover and refrigerate

Pour the ganache over the semi-firm base and distribute it evenly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the dessert to take consistency. If you can leave it on longer, it will look even better.

Additional tips for a perfect result

• Use good quality cookies

The better the taste of the cookies, the more the dessert will stand out. You can use Maria cookies, classic sweet cookies, or even a mix to bring different textures.

• Adjust the amount of sugar

If you prefer a less sweet taste, reduce the sugar in the base mix a little or choose a chocolate with a higher percentage of cocoa.

• Add an extra Christmas touch

You can add walnuts, almonds, or candied fruit to give it an even more festive look.

• Refrigerate long enough

Cold rest is key. If you cut it before it is firm, it will lose shape. Ideally, you should let it refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours.

• Give it an elegant presentation

Cut into perfect squares with a sharp knife. If you run it under hot water before cutting, you’ll get clean lines.

• Prepare it in advance

This dessert improves with rest, so it is ideal to make the day before the celebration.

A perfect dessert for Christmas

This sweet combines the crunchy texture of cookies with the softness of chocolate, achieving an irresistible balance. It is economical, yields very well and looks spectacular when cut into portions.

Ideal for festive tables, Christmas snacks or as a quick dessert to surprise family and friends. With accessible ingredients and a very simple method, you will have a Christmas dessert that seems elaborate, but without complications.
