Clean your BURNERS with the Japanese Secret Technique
Kitchen burners accumulate grease, food debris, and charcoal with daily use. Even if you clean them often, over time hard layers form that seem impossible to remove.
This Japanese technique takes advantage of a controlled chemical reaction to loosen dirt from the root, without the need to scrape or damage the metal.
The result is bright, fat-free and better-functioning burners.
Why This Japanese Technique Works
This mixture combines four cleaning forces:
- Baking soda: releases grease and neutralizes odors
- Lemon: dissolves mineral dirt and cuts through grease
- Vinegar: breaks down traces of limescale and rust
- Detergent: traps and emulsifies grease
- Boiling water: activates and enhances the entire reaction
When combined, they produce a deep clean that not only acts on the surface, but also on the pores of the metal.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons baking soda
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 3 tablespoons dish detergent
- 50 ml vinegar (white, apple or plain)
- 1 liter of boiling water
Materials
- A large heat-resistant container
- Brush or sponge
- Tweezers or gloves
- Clean water for rinsing
Preparation of the mixture
- Place the burners inside the container.
- Add the baking soda over them.
- Pour in the lemon juice.
- Add the vinegar slowly. An effervescence will occur that begins to release the dirt.
- Add the detergent.
- Finally, pour in the quart of boiling water carefully.
The mixture should completely cover the burners.
Action Time
Let sit for 20 to 30 minutes.
During this time, the chemical reaction dissolves the grease, soot and burnt residues.
If the burners are very dirty, you can leave them on for up to 40 minutes.
Final cleaning
- Remove the burners with tongs or gloves.
- Brush gently. Dirt will come off easily.
- Rinse with clean water.
- Dry completely before placing them back in the kitchen.
Results You’ll Notice
- Brighter burners
- More even flames
- Better gas output
- Less smell of burnt grease
- More hygienic cooking
Additional Tips
- If you use this technique once a month, your burners will never go dark again.
- For extremely old stains, repeat the process a second time.
- Always dry the burners thoroughly to prevent rust.
