Baking soda cleans and polishes tiles with a single pass: use it this way

By Vitia

When it comes to domestic cleaning, one of the most boring and time-consuming is certainly that of the floor. Not only does it require considerable physical effort, but it is also important to choose the right products to prevent sticky or stains and streaks from forming.

Although there are many special detergents on the market for the floor, there are a myriad of natural products that help to clean it thoroughly, degrease it and clean the joints and that are equally (if not more) effective.

Dirty joints are deeply unsightly. Often we even forget about their original color, and we do not think that bacteria and microorganisms also accumulate in them.

If you’ve tried them all and can’t bleach your joints, you’ve come to the right place. Below we list some methods to thoroughly clean floor joints.

Baking soda

Among the most effective methods for cleaning floor joints, baking soda is always mentioned. Applying this method is super easy: create a creamy solution by mixing baking soda and water, then use a hard sponge to rub it between the joints. Remove with a clean cloth, then rinse with plenty of water.

Hydrogen peroxide

As bizarre as it may seem, hydrogen peroxide is also a great help in cleaning and whitening the joints. Simply pour a little hydrogen peroxide between the joints and clean with a sponge or toothbrush.

White vinegar

Probably the most effective natural product for cleaning joints, white vinegar also has antibacterial properties capable of disinfecting them. In this case, you have two options. The first is to soak a toothbrush in vinegar and clean the joints. Or mix two equal parts baking soda and water and spray the solution between the joints. In both cases, leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing.

In all cases, a little patience is required, especially if the joints are very dirty. Remember that after cleaning the joints, you need to wash the floor to make sure you have removed all the residue.
