Homemade aloe vera soap: moisturizing and soothing

By Vitia

Making your own soap at home is not only a creative and rewarding activity, but it also allows you to take care of your skin with natural and personalized ingredients. Today we offer you a simple recipe to prepare an aloe vera soap, ideal for moisturizing and soothing all skin types.

Ingredients needed:

  • 500 g glycerin soap base
  • 1 fleshy aloe vera leaf
  • 1 fresh sprig of rosemary
  • 150 ml filtered or mineral water
  • 2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Step-by-step procedure:

  1. Extract the aloe vera
gel Carefully cut the aloe leaf lengthwise and pick up the inner gel, taking care to remove all traces of the yellow part (which can be irritating).
  2. Prepare the aromatic
infusion Pour the aloe gel, rosemary leaves and water into the blender. Blend until smooth and uniform. Set aside.
  3. Melt the soap
base Cut the glycerin base into cubes and melt it gently in a water bath, stirring occasionally to avoid lumps.
  4. Combine the natural
ingredients When the base is completely liquid, remove from heat and stir in the aloe and rosemary emulsion. Mix gently.
  5. Enrich with nourishing
oils Add the sweet almond oil and lemon juice, stirring constantly to distribute the ingredients well.
  6. Pour into the molds and leave to cool
Transfer the still hot mixture into the silicone molds. Let cool completely at room temperature (or in the fridge to speed up) until the soaps are solid.
  7. Remove from the mould and store
Gently remove the soaps from the moulds. The result? Natural soaps with a super moisturizing and soothing effect, perfect for cleansing the skin without attacking it.

This homemade soap is a true beauty ally: aloe vera calms and moisturizes, rosemary gives a light herbaceous fragrance and almond oil helps to deeply nourish. It is ideal for all skin types, even the most sensitive ones.
