20 uses of hydrogen peroxide that you didn’t know about

Who among us does not have a vial of hydrogen peroxide at home? This product, in addition to being cheap, is really versatile and can be used in a myriad of uses.

Hydrogen peroxide is one of the most useful substances available on the market: it has germicidal and disinfectant properties, but its characteristics are many. Below we list 20 uses of hydrogen peroxide that you probably didn’t know about.

Whiten the laundry. Hydrogen peroxide is a valid alternative to bleach, but it is much less aggressive both on laundry and on our health. Hydrogen peroxide is also useful for eliminating blood stains.

Health. Our body produces hydrogen peroxide to make the immune system more effective. Hydrogen peroxide is effective against toxins, parasites, bacteria and viruses.

Detoxifying. Pour a cup of hydrogen peroxide into a bathtub filled with hot water and soak for a few minutes. This water has relaxing, detoxifying and anti-aging properties.

Fungal fungusis in the nails. Mix two equal parts water and hydrogen peroxide, and soak your feet in it every night: it is an excellent remedy for nail fungus.

Lice and fleas. Hydrogen peroxide is also useful against these annoying insects that often lurk in the hair of our pets.

Nasal spray. Pour a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide into a small bottle equipped with a spray diffuser, to be filled with normal water. This nasal spray is especially useful against a stuffy nose.

Wounds. Apply hydrogen peroxide with a cotton swab to the cuts and wounds. When repeated daily, it helps disinfect the wound and speed up the healing process.

Mouthwash. Gargling with hydrogen peroxide helps us eliminate bacteria in the mouth, even those responsible for bad breath.

Toothpaste. Dip your toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide and brush your teeth. This excellent disinfectant remedy also helps to whiten teeth.

Lighten the hair. Mix two equal parts water and hydrogen peroxide, and apply evenly throughout the hair to lighten it slightly.

Surface cleaning. Hydrogen peroxide is an excellent alternative to the many products for cleaning wash, kitchen or furniture surfaces. It has antibacterial properties that are very effective for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces.

Dishwasher. A solution based on two equal parts water and hydrogen peroxide helps to clean dishes much more effectively, disinfecting them from bacteria and other pathogens.

Moisture stains. In addition to being unsightly, damp stains on the wall are also harmful to health. You can remove them using hydrogen peroxide.

Humidifier. By pouring a glass of hydrogen peroxide together with water into the humidifier, you can maximize the effects of the humidifier.

Laundry. In addition to removing stains, especially blood stains, hydrogen peroxide thoroughly disinfects laundry.
