Pothos: the plant that purifies the air in the home, eliminating all harmful substances

The use of houseplants is widespread: who doesn’t like to decorate their homes with real pieces of nature? Plants, however, are not only useful aesthetically, but can have real therapeutic benefits on our health.
This is the case of pothos, a plant whose use is widespread, but whose benefits are mostly unknown. Pothos, which is mainly used indoors, helps to improve the air in the home.
Native to Southeast Asia, the pothos is a perennial plant that has been the subject of numerous studies by NASA, which have demonstrated its purifying properties for indoor environments.
Pothos helps eliminate three types of toxic substances in the atmosphere, such as formaldehyde (known to cause cancer and other respiratory conditions), xylene (causes headaches, nausea, and nervous system problems), and benzene (causes fatigue, sleepiness, and rapid heartbeat).
These three harmful substances are present in paints, household appliances and solvents, and can also be present in glues used in furniture construction.
