How to have a beautiful basil even if you keep it at home

The supermarket plant has already suffered a lot of stress, from its packaging to its arrival in our homes. Temperature and irrigation changes are the two biggest “stresses” suffered by the seedling, but they are not the only ones.
Be that as it may, it is possible to recover basil seedlings to return them to their original vigor, following simple precautions.
Watering. The basil seedling should be kept constantly moist, but avoiding stagnant water. Put in some water every day and make sure the pot has good drainage that allows excess water to drain off.
Flowers. To have lush and fragrant leaves, it is essential to remove the flowers of the basil plant, cutting the stem directly.
Cut the leaves. The basil seedling constantly generates new leaves, which need space to grow. It is for this reason that you have to remove the larger leaves, although we don’t have to use them.
Light. Although the basil seedling needs a lot of light, it suffers a lot from the heat so expose it to indirect sunlight, in semi-shade, to prevent the leaves from burning.
