He arrived with his lover and gave him an hour to leave the apartment: his ex-wife’s response changed everything

It was an ordinary night. The protagonist of this story was washing the dishes in the kitchen of her apartment when the doorbell interrupted the calm. He didn’t expect visitors at that time, so he approached the door without imagining what was about to happen.

An unexpected visit

When she opened it, she was paralyzed. On the threshold was Mark, her ex-husband, with whom she had shared almost twenty years of marriage before divorcing just over a year ago. But he did not come alone: behind him, a young woman of about twenty-five, with blond hair, striking makeup and a short yellow dress, watched everything with a defiant attitude.

Without asking permission, both entered the apartment. Before she could react, Mark spoke coldly:

The woman, stunned, barely managed to articulate an answer. Her ex-husband, undeterred, introduced the young woman as Emma, her new partner, and explained that they needed the apartment for themselves.

The context of a “generous” divorce

To understand the situation, you have to go back a little. When she and Mark divorced, he said he was tired of marriage and eager to start a new life. She, for her part, was also exhausted from her repeated infidelities, so the separation was peaceful.

At the time, Mark declared with apparent generosity that he would leave the apartment to her. The reason was simple: he was already with another woman, a wealthy businesswoman named Sofia, with whom he quickly moved to a much more luxurious home. “Stay in the apartment, we have something better,” he told her then.

However, everything indicated that this relationship was over, and that Emma’s arrival had a lot to do with the breakup.

The circus inside his own home

Back in the present, Mark put Emma around the waist and asked her to choose one of the two rooms in the apartment. She, without hesitation, claimed the one with the balcony. It was at that moment that the owner of the house decided that this grotesque situation had to end.

Calmly, she asked Mark to accompany her to the living room to talk privately. He accepted, somewhat suspicious. Once alone, she looked him in the eye and uttered a single sentence:
