Benefits and properties of cinnamon essential oil

Cinnamon, however little used, should be part of our daily diet. It has positive effects in many diseases such as diabetes, gastritis and cholesterol.

According to the UK’s NICE (The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence), cinnamon contains antifungal ingredients that help fight infections from within.

Diabetes: Cinnamon improves glucose and lipid levels in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Alzheimer’s: Researchers at Tel Aviv University have found that cinnamon helps prevent the condition. The CEppt extract found in cinnamon bark prevents the development of this disease.

Protects the kidneys: Cinnamon essential oil prevents the kidneys from suffering from damage caused by alloxan.

Multiple sclerosis: According to research from Rush University Medical Center (USA), cinnamon supports the destructive process of multiple sclerosis.

It reduces the negative effect of high-calorie foods.

Cinnamon oil for daily use

Homemade cinnamon oil is useful for treating various pathologies. It is an excellent antiseptic, antibiotic, analgesic and has aphrodisiac properties, as well as being simple to prepare.

Obtain 5-6 cinnamon sticks, a glass container, and olive oil. Place the cinnamon sticks in the glass container and add a little olive oil. Close tightly and store at room temperature for about three weeks. Shake the glass container every now and then.

After three weeks, strain the liquid and store it in a dark bottle. You can add cinnamon essential oil to your desserts, or you can consume a teaspoon every morning.
