A healthy and very tasty diet cake for anyone who needs it! 😲👆FLOUR-FREE, SUGAR-FREE AND FAT-FREE!
It’s challenging to create a cake that is completely flour-free, sugar-free, and fat-free, while still being tasty. However, we can make a delicious and healthy “cake-like” dessert that fits most of those criteria. Here’s a recipe that focuses on natural sweetness, fiber, and healthy protein:
Ingredients:
- Base:
- 4 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- spices to taste (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc)
- Optional Toppings/Fillings (choose healthy options):
- Fresh berries
- Greek yogurt (plain, unsweetened)
- Unsweetened nut butter (almond, peanut)
- A very small amount of sugar free chocolate, for decoration.
Instructions:
- Preheat and Prepare:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a cake pan (8-inch or 9-inch) with parchment paper.
- Combine Wet Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Whisk in the eggs, applesauce, and vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and baking soda.
- Add any spices you desire.
- Combine Wet and Dry:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Bake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Decorate:
- Let the cake cool completely in the pan before frosting or adding toppings.
- Add your healthy toppings.
Why This Recipe Works:
- Flour-Free: The bananas and eggs act as the binding agents, eliminating the need for flour.
- Sugar-Free (Naturally Sweetened): The ripe bananas and applesauce provide natural sweetness.
- Reduced Fat: The recipe avoids added fats, relying on the natural moisture of the ingredients.
- Healthy Ingredients: Bananas provide potassium and fiber, eggs provide protein, and cocoa powder offers antioxidants.
Important Notes:
- This cake will have a moist and dense texture, rather than a light and fluffy one.
- It is very important to use ripe bananas.
- Be mindful of added toppings and fillings, as they can significantly increase the calorie and sugar content.
- This is not a traditional cake, but a healthy and tasty dessert option.
Enjoy your guilt-free treat!
